Mondo Strategies’ boutique consulting team consists of a small group of full-time and part-time, highly-skilled, experienced professionals. Most of our consultants have at least fifteen years of experience in the software business and have held both technical and managerial roles in complex environments, coming to thoroughly understand the business and the operations of software companies, both large and small. Successful as hands-on executives, our consultants have changed their careers to do what we like most: share knowledge and experience to take our clients to higher levels of business performance.
Mondo Strategies was formed in 2005 based on the experience and knowledge of its founder, Ernani Ferrari. Chief consultant since then, Ferrari is an enthusiast that personally leads every strategic project, besides heading most company-wide diagnostics, supported by his background of helping over one hundred software companies around the world.
Of Italian descent, Ernani Ferrari was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1965, studied electronics and management besides most subjects related to IT and the software business. He also holds MBAs in Marketing and Production Management.
Ferrari has worked in software and business processes for over 25 years, 14 of which as an executive in the software industry. He held managerial and global executive roles in research and development, customer support, services, customer relationship, sales & channel management, international operations, alliances management, corporate university and marketing, having had operational and profit and loss responsibility for international operations around the globe for companies like Infor, QAD and Totvs. He has led organizations with up to 400+ software developers in markets as diverse as the United States, Japan, Brazil, India and Argentina.
With an outstanding track record of working for over 15 years with internationalization and localization projects and remote operations for companies like Microsoft, Infor, QAD, Netsuite, Totvs and Wolters Kluwer, Ernani has been responsible for product localization for the nearly 40 most influential countries/markets in the world, having worked out of 16 countries of North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and South America and personally managed strategies and solution requirements for 76 countries in 26 languages. Before working for software companies, he worked for companies such as Ford, Volkswagen and Boehringer Ingelheim.
A frequent speaker, columnist and author of the book Product Management for Software – Simple Processes for Great Results, the Mondo Strategies Guide for Software Metrics and Indicators, and of several articles related to management in the software industry, Ferrari has also been serving as advisor for c-level executives of software companies and as a contributor to software business associations.
Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and knowledgeable of French, Ferrari has lived in Ontario, Sao Paulo and California and currently lives with his wife and sons in the Boston area, Massachusetts.
